Athparia Tantra Yoga Art Gallery, Kamakhya is situated in the city of Guwahati, Assam, India where Tantra has been practiced from ancient times and continues still today. This rare Mother Goddess Temple is considered the ultimate in India for Shakti worship. The main Temple as well as other smaller temples and shrines, including 10 specific attributes of Goddess Kamakhya, Dashamahavidyas, are spread throughout the Kamakhya hill. This new and rare artist-owned Gallery is located in this famous and revered pilgrimage site.

The paintings and sculptures in this unique non-commercial Gallery are created by artist Paresh Athparia, who was born and raised in Kamakhya in a traditional temple caretaker family of which there are only a few. Paresh moved to Indiana University USA in 1977 on scholarship to further his education in Geology, where he met his wife Colleen, a Canadian classical musician. Living in Canada since 1980, they both travel to India every year spending time in his birthplace Kamakhya. In 2023 the Tantra Gallery was inaugurated as a gift to the community and all those who might be interested in understanding the essence of Tantra as part of Indian art and spiritual culture.
