This book in Western notation of the music of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika (PhD Columbia Univ. USA) is a tribute to this multi-talented genius and cultural icon of Assam in N.E. India.  His vast creative cultural contributions of his compositions, richness of lyrics and resonant voice, have been immeasurable. Like the Viennese musician Franz Schubert, Bhupen Hazarika’s music is a superbly-woven marriage with his poetry, creating a cohesive expression of deep feeling which mesmerized the sea of outdoor audiences to pin-drop silence.
